All instructors at the Yoga Loft Studio are at least 200 hour RYT Certified. Interested in learning more about yoga and the practice of yoga? Consider Group Study Intensives where people come together to to learn about this great eight limb path, deepen their practice, meditate and study ancient texts. Mary Beth Nehl
Mary Beth is the owner of Yoga Loft and has been practicing, teaching and studying yoga since the early 70's. Breath is emphasized in all styles of classes that she teaches. Mary Beth is grateful to her teacher and mentor, Beryl Bender Birch, for her guidance and knowledge of Astanga Yoga. Other teachers for whom she is grateful include David Swenson, Paul Grilley, Dr. Ganesh Mohan, Ray Long for adjustments and anatomy and Doug Keller for his wonderful attention to Yoga Therapy. In addition to a 500-hour certification from Beryl's The Hard and The Soft Yoga Institute, Mary Beth is E-Yoga Alliance Registered at the 500 hour level. The Yoga Loft also offers 230 hour and 500 hour Group Study Intentives. At this time, the 500 hour Intensive is a continuation of with the study and practice of Yoga for those who have been practicing and teaching and would like to deepen their own personal experiences.

I came to yoga because there were questions that weren’t quite clear even what I was asking. What I did know was that something was missing. After listening to lectures on the way of life that goes on behind the postures, I was hooked. At the time I didn’t conceptually understand everything that was being spoken of, but deep down inside each word had truth to them I didn’t experience before. The personal truth’s combined with the physical practice of yoga have showed me a place of contentment, comfort, and purpose in the body and the self.
Yoga Loft offers Reiki Treatments with Jill James
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation which also promotes healing. It was discovered in 1922 by Mikao Usui and is administered by "laying on hands". Reiki is now offered in more than 60 U.S. hospitals as part of patient services according to a UCLA study.
Jill has her second-degree certification in the original Usui method taught through the International Center for Reiki Training.
If you are looking for a deep relaxation, calm and centering, this is for you. Each session lasts an hour or more beginning with a brief meditation and lesson on relaxation breathing.
