Who am I? Why am I here? What is it that I am suppose to be doing with MY LIFE to help myself, others and the planet? It is difficult to really explain Yoga to others. Yoga is direct experience.
What is Yoga? How can the practice of Yoga help us to live our life with ease and peace? The practice of yoga is not done in isolation. All practice aids in the healing and transformation of humanity. Through our practice and direct experiences, we do indeed affect the entire planet.
Currently, Yoga Loft is offering Group Study to explore and experience the relevance of these questions. The group study is a comprehensive exploration of different styles of yoga: including asana practices and meditation.
Furthermore, the study will cover: Asana and safety in doing postures; looking at different styles and how they work differently for people's constitution and body type. We will also study the Anatomy in relation to yoga as well as Physiology and how doing the practice affects the body and nervous system. Ancient texts will also be examined to see how Yoga has stood the test of time. What is the recurring thread or connection that has been passed down for thousands of years. Why is Yoga so popular? What does it bring to our lives and how can we share this with others by our daily actions and words. These questions and more are the Purpose of these study groups. Yoga is practice. As we practice, we may discover that life is Yoga; that Yoga gives us tools to enhance our spiritual life; that Yoga gives us the tools to live with ease and peace and that we are indeed spiritual beings having this incredible human experience.
Yoga Loft is also having advanced study. This study group is for those that have practiced yoga, teach yoga and would like to further discover its' many benefits. Both of these groups bring together people with a common interest; YOGA, but diverse ideas and experiences. Course material will include printed texts, reprints, CDs, DVDs, guest presenters and hands on instructions. You will also be given books and materials to explore outside of the time spent together.
